One of Munich's architectural highlights is undoubtedly the Goldhouse building owned by pro aurum – a center of excellence for our customers in the field of precious metals and, at the same time, a modern workplace for our employees.

pro aurum headquarters in Munich: the heart of our company beats here
Since the end of 2009, pro aurum headquarter have been located in the east of Munich, not far from Munich's exhibition center (Messe München) and the Riem-Arcaden shopping mall. The Munich “Goldhaus” is relatively easy to find thanks to its exterior appearance. After all, the imposing building stands out in the rather sober industrial park with its shimmering golden yellow tiles and architecture. Measuring 42 meters long, 23 meters wide, and eight meters high above ground, it resembles an oversized gold bar and also symbolizes the total amount of gold ever mined worldwide. The Goldhaus is easily accessible by car via the A94 (Munich-Riem junction) and by public transport via the U2 (Messestadt West underground station).
The “Goldhaus” houses a regular branch serving daily customer business, including a consulting and cashier area. The building also houses important company departments that are essential for the smooth functioning of all services in the field of precious metal investments. The Munich headquarters offers two important competitive advantages for our business activities: competence and expertise. In this context, we would like to highlight the business areas of “scrap gold service,” ‘numismatics’ (collector coins), “precious metal deposit,” “safe deposit box facilities 1 + 2,” the mixed fund “pro aurum ValueFlex,” and various other precious metal-related partner products such as gold accounts, gold savings plans, and precious metal loans. Many of our employees have been with pro aurum since the company was founded in 2003 and therefore have a wealth of experience in precious metal investment.
You can visit our Munich headquarters Monday through Thursday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In the afternoons (Mon and Tue), we are available from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., while our branch is closed on Wednesday afternoons. Our extended opening hours are on Thursday afternoons (2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) and on Fridays we are open continuously from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In addition, we are usually open on one Saturday per month from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
A visit to the “Goldhaus” is not only worthwhile if you have a specific investment need, but also if you simply want to find out more. The entrance area is regularly used as an event location for interesting specialist lectures, free Goldhaus tours, and other events. Visitors to the pro aurum entrance area will also find our information center and permanent exhibition on the subject of precious metals.
Visitors can lift a genuine 12.5-kilogram gold bar or examine and learn more about some of the world's most popular coins. If waiting times occur, visitors can use the opportunity to expand their knowledge of precious metals.
Munich: Home of online retail and central warehouse
Important to know: pro aurum's online trading department is based in Munich. The prices published here for the purchase and sale of all coins and bars apply to all German pro aurum branches and are continuously adjusted if the current market situation requires it. In addition, visitors to our Munich branch benefit from a particularly long inventory list of deliverable products. This means that anyone who knows exactly which bars or coins they want to buy can check their availability on the list published on the internet. This can help you to make your desired precious metal investment particularly quickly. The process would then be as follows: select the product, purchase the product, and finally pay for the product and take it with you.
If you would like to visit pro aurum's Goldhaus in Munich, you do not need to make an appointment in advance. This allows you to spontaneously buy or sell coins or bars. You can also seek advice on the spot if you need information. However, if you would like to sell large quantities of scrap gold to pro aurum or have an extensive coin collection appraised by a numismatics expert, it is advisable to make an appointment.
Lockers and precious metal deposit in Munich
There are two safe deposit box facilities in Munich, but unfortunately all of their boxes are currently occupied. However, it is possible to be placed on a waiting list. As an alternative to your own safe deposit box, the Munich-based precious metal deposit is enjoying increasing popularity. It works similarly to a securities account at a bank or online broker and is primarily used for the uncomplicated trading of physical precious metals – thanks to the internet, from anywhere in the world. At the same time, it enables the secure and bankruptcy-protected storage of bars and coins.
